What should I do with paint waste - paint, empty cans, rags and others?
All liquid waste (paints, varnishes, solvents, white spirit used for cleaning tools) must be taken to hazardous waste collection yards or to designated waste disposal sites. No liquid products should end up in drains or in the ground.
Empty and dry paint cans can be disposed of in the landfill along with other household waste.
Plastic containers used for lacquer or latex paints can be used for home use after thorough cleaning. However, do not store any food or drink in them.
Warning! Porous materials such as kitchen towels, cotton waste or lacquered cloths, linseed oil, wood oil or other natural oils are highly flammable. Such materials must be soaked with water when stored before removal.
What lacquer to use for children's wooden toys?
For wooden toys it is necessary to use varnishes which are marked as being suitable for use with toys according to STN-EN71 / 3. From our assortment are suitable for children's wooden toys: Lignolak, Hobbylak and Dekorlak. Lignolak and Hobbylak are produced in a colorless finish and the decor is produced in multiple color shades.
Do I build a roof truss in a family house, do I use some truss protection?
Protection against wood-destroying fungi, algae and insects on the bush is very important. We recommend using Krovsan or Fungonit. Both are fungicidal and insecticidal products designed to protect wood with destructive and preventive effects. Krovsan is suitable for new as well as for attacked wood. Fungonite is particularly suitable for new and non-impregnated wood. Another difference is in the dilution options. For more information, read the wood protection section for each product. For both products, only one coat is sufficient.
How to minimize the risk of wood fires?
To prevent fire or flame spreading, it is important to use the HR PROF fire protection coating. It limits the possibility of fire and its subsequent spread. This coating is suitable wherever there is woodworking (wooden structures, stables, cabins, boats,…). It should be applied from all sides. HR PROF retains the original properties of the material and extends its life.
How to impregnate the stone cladding around the fireplace so that dirt does not settle on the surface?
To protect and decorate stone, stone tiles around fireplaces, we can use oil to stone. Stone Oil is a natural impregnating oil suitable for impregnating all kinds of natural and artificial stone. The impregnated surface retains porosity, enhances the natural structure of the stone and at the same time repels water. It serves for easier maintenance of stone surfaces. Stone oil is applied by brush, sponge or cloth.
How effective is to eliminate mold on the walls?
If you have a problem with moldy walls, do not hesitate to use Plesnistop. The application is very simple. Spray or coat Plesnistop on mold. Allow the preparation to work for 24 hours. After this time, remove the mold mechanically from the wall. Mold is never removed before painting to dispel dangerous spores that may be the source of new disease. The substrate treated in this way can be coated with conventional paint preparations. If the paints do not contain an active ingredient to prevent the further growth of fungi, it is advisable to rub the dried coat once with Plesnistop or to add Plesnistop to the paint mixture at a rate of 0.5 l of Plesnistop to 10 l of the paint mixture.

At home I have an old wooden chair after my grandmother, is there an old paint and still it is attacked by woodworm, can it be saved?
In the first step, we recommend removing the old paint first. This will be removed with the Extra Coating Remover. The application is very simple. A coating of 1 - 2 mm of the product is applied to the surface, it is allowed to act for 15 minutes and after this time we remove the old paint with a scraper. EXTRA paint remover is suitable for removing oil, synthetic, nitrocellulose, alkyd, latex, two-component, polyurethane and water-soluble paints. Then we gently sand the wooden surface and apply Krovsan. Krovsan Profi is a biocidal and insecticidal product suitable for attacked wood. Apply by brush, roller or spray. For very attacked surfaces, we recommend applying Krovsan by injecting them into wormholes. After application, the surface can be painted or painted. We recommend you use Dekorlak. It is produced in a colorless finish, but also in different color designs.
I'm going to paint, but the last time the walls were painted about 15 years ago? Should I use some paint or impregnation before coating?
It is advisable to use a penetration agent before painting. Penetration is designed for deep reinforcement of the substrate, unifies absorbency, binds uncompact parts of the substrate and increases adhesion to the top coat.
It is good to use penetration even when we are going to paint the wall to another shade or the previous paint is lime. Penetration is applied to surfaces such as concrete, lime, lime-cement, cement and dispersion plasters, plasterboard. The surface should be saturated with the penetrating agent, but a layer of unabsorbed agent must not remain on the surface.
On the cottage I do myself a wooden floor, what kind of paint is suitable to use?
For wood floors we recommend to use one-component polyurethane lacquer Profilak. This varnish is characterized by high hardness, resilience and abrasion resistance, chemicals, conventional detergents and fluids. Profilak is suitable for all wooden surfaces such as parquet, stairs, doors, shutters, tiles and other wooden surfaces.
I bought a wooden children's house for the garden, the wood is not painted, how to proceed properly when shooting?
First, we recommend impregnating the house with a biocidal product Fungonit. This prevents wood from attacking wood-destroying insects, fungi and fungi. Let it dry for several hours. It emphasizes the natural structure of the wood, creates a water-repellent surface and prevents the wood from drying out and its subsequent deformation. The oil is applied with a brush, roller or cloth. After 10-20 minutes, the soaked oil is wiped off with a cloth. I'm going to paint a wooden wall cladding in the interior of the cottage, do you know anything good to advise?
We recommend using Hobbylak on the interior wood paneling. It is a water-borne paint specially for the interior. Produced in matt or semi-gloss finish. The first coat is diluted 2: 1 with water. After drying, the wood is ground and the sanding dust removed. The second or third coat is applied undiluted at least 4 hour intervals. To ensure comprehensive wood protection, it is recommended that the wood be treated with Krovsan prior to the first coat.
